Mock Trial Club is open to any student in grades 10-12 who is interested in how the justice system works.
Students play the parts of the prosecution/plaintiff and defense in a criminal or civil case prepared by the Indiana Bar Foundation.
From November-February they prepare all aspects of the case from attorneys to witnesses to defendants.
In February they present their case at regional competition in front of the judges from the Indiana Bar Foundation.
This club is an excellent way for students to see how the court system works, for them to learn debate and reasoning skills, for them to see if any aspect of the legal/criminal justice system is a possible profession for them, for them to have a great time role-playing, and for them to bond as a "team."
There are no fees to join and only one guaranteed presentation.
See Mrs. Retherford or email her at kretherford@flcs.k12.in.us if you are interested in joining next year!
